The violent behaviour in the centres that foster young people is one of the most important concerns of the workers of this sector. However, most centres and services assisting these minors, has not staff properly trained to assist these cases. To prevent and treat the violence represents an essential way to guarantee the welfare of young people and the favourable conditions for their development and protection.
The goal of our project is to adapt the training offer to the needs of the labour market in the field of the social intervention. We intend to develop, together with the European partners, a culture of prevention of violence, by providing the professionals with the necessary tools so that they can find answers according to their own needs and to the needs of the centres where they intervene.
Goals:
– To train workers in the acquisition of new skills that lead to the promotion of new tools of work.
– To provide workers with reference points to improve the development of their professional practice.
– To provide a theoretical content that meets the needs related to professional competences and adapts them to their field (social work/assistance).
– To enable institutions to build their own answers according to the specific mission that they assume
– To develop a culture of prevention and treatment of the youth violence phenomena at all the levels of the organisation and for all the agents.
The partners of the project are from Estonia, France, Germany, Italy and Latvia. These partners will take part actively in the planning, implementation, development and evaluation of the activities to be developed throughout the project.
Asociación Altea España is composed by institutions involved in the direct intervention as well as by training centres. Therefore, is able to ensure a good project impact due to the fact that 1) the professionals of the fieldwork will integrate the results in their daily practice, 2) the elaborated tools and the training module of trainer of trainers will be included in the training modules provided, as a main or secondary activity, by the majority of the participant organisations. In the case of Spain, this potentiality is particularly guaranteed thanks to the agreement of collaboration of Altea España with the University of Alicante and the Social Welfare Ministry (VC). A network of coordination among the project partners and the participant professionals will be developed and will go on working after the life of the project.
Results: A web platform containing the methodology and the pedagogical and training resources in the form of cards in English and in the language of the participant countries (German, Spanish, Italian, French, Estonian and Latvian) which will be validated and experimented by all the countries.
Impact: The expansion of the competences and skills of the workers of the social intervention according to their own demands and to the demands of the labour market in which they develop their activity.
Obiettivi: (D.3.2)
The goal of the project is to adapt the training offer to the demand of the production system. We intend to develop with the European partners a culture of prevention of violence by providing professionals with the necessary tools (available in the web in English and in each one of the languages of the participant countries) for the assumption of a method of prevention and a practical training to elaborate answers according to needs of the professionals and the centres where they intervene.
Goals:
– To train workers in the acquisition of new skills that lead to the promotion of new tools of work.
– To provide workers with reference points to facilitate and improve the development of their professional practice.
– To provide a theoretical content that meets the needs on professional competences and adapts them to their field (social work/assistance).
– To enable institutions to build their own answers according to the specific mission that they assume
– To develop a culture of prevention and treatment of the youth violence phenomena at all the levels of the organisation and for all the agents.
In this way, the new acquired competences will enable to start a progressive process of appropriation, improving the quality of the intervention.
We guarantee in this way the cooperation between training and the world of work since we are approaching a problem that demands a growing need of training from workers as well as from the centres that do not find answers to act in an effective way. The tools that we will provide will be supporting and reference points for every institution and every worker and are aimed at the adapted implementation depending on the needs and the context. Once, the training materials have been validated and experienced by all the countries, it will elaborated a European tool that will be integrated in the education and occupational training offer in every country, since some of the partners of the present project are training institutions as in the case of Spain, Germany and France. In the case of Spain, we count on a collaboration agreement since 1996 with the University of Alicante which guarantees that our project results are incorporated to training programmes in the social sciences department. The rest of partners intervene directly in the social sector, however, count on a wide network of local and regional associations which make possible the incorporation of the results of the project in the training offer of their countries.
